People who are lesbians or gays are considered to be abnormal by others and in fact it is even a crime in some countries. Lesbians are the desires between two female genders either sexually or romantically. No wonder there are lots of lesbian suicides because of these criticisms. The term gay is commonly referred by the people as the desire of two male genders romantically. But this notion is partly false, it is true that gays have desires with the same sex but also the term gay can be applied for women. Those who are in men to men and women to women relationships can be considered as gay.

Bisexuals, who account for about four-in-ten LGBT adults in the United States, stand apart from gay and lesbian adults in many ways, such as the fact that they are less likely to view their sexual orientation as central to their identity. The experience of coming out to friends and family can be complex. Among those who did come out, bisexual adults report somewhat different experiences from gays and lesbians. Gays and lesbians are somewhat less likely to report being solely attracted to one gender. This is likely due at least in part to the fact that LGB adults make up a small share of the overall adult population, so the pool of potential same-sex partners is much smaller than the pool of opposite-sex partners. The survey also found that LGBT adults said that bisexual men faced less social acceptance than bisexual women, gay men and lesbians.

About The Center
To most ears, it probably sounds inoffensive. A little outdated and clinical, perhaps, but innocuous enough: homosexual. But that five-syllable word has never been more loaded, more deliberately used and, to the ears of many gays and lesbians, more pejorative. Consider the following phrases: homosexual community, homosexual activist, homosexual marriage. Some gay rights advocates have declared the term off limits.
Although I've always wanted this particular superhuman power, I've never been very good at detecting other men's sexual orientation. Findings from a recent study published in the Journal of Experimental Social Psychology , however, suggest I may be underestimating my gaydar abilities. The January study investigated people's ability to identify homosexual men from pictures of their faces alone. In an initial experiment, researchers Nicholas Rule and Nalini Ambady from Tufts University perused online dating sites and carefully selected 45 straight male faces and 45 gay male faces. All of these photos were matched for orientation only faces shown looking forward were used and facial alterations none of the images contained jewelry, glasses or facial hair.
